Bridesmaid Dress Shopping!

Today we tried on Bridesmaid dresses for Dawn's wedding and Sarah came too!

Computer Restart Failed

So the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth computer restart didn't work and got progressively worse (aka my computer wouldn't even start!). Basically the issue was sent to our local IT at 4:50 and they had already left for the day. So lucky me got to head home by 5:30.

So I got to see Sarah for lunch!!  I was able to wake up with her at 5am for a feeding AND I got to home home at 5:30 to spend time with her... Lucky Mommy!

Sarah Rolled Over!!!

Okay this doesn't relate to the post at all but it was so cute.  She was practicing her grabbing skills with the ice cream spoon.  That counts as allowed baby food right?? Same color??

This is a little before Sarah rolled over for the first time. I am having trouble downloading it on the computer and not sure how to get a video on the blog so this is what we got.  Way to go Sarah!  (And I don't have to admit to the pediatrician that she is behind and needs more tummy time.)  She did it from her stomach onto her back. Now we just need to get the other way going. But I am not going to be holding my breath!

She is one crazy sleeper.  I figured out why she woke up early after seeing this.  P.S. I put her down in the crib in the OTHER direction. She may not be able to roll but she sure can scoot!

Day 3 of working.

First Day Back at work

Today was our big day. I definitely missed her but was fine unless I thought abt it. However, I don't think she even noticed :(.

I took it easy in my first day back so came home and spent a few hours with her. Here is Sarah when I was putting her to bed.

Christening

Last Sunday, Sarah got baptized.  1/8/12 since I am sure I won't ever remember it. Very fitting as it was the Epiphany also at Church.  Here are a couple of pictures.  Thanks to all the friends and family for coming!

She was so good with the water on her head. Luckily it was warm!!  She just looked a little confused.  The deacon also put chrism on her which smelled great but was definitely a little bit oily!

Other facts:

Lauren's name is GoMo for Godmother not Aunt Lauren as she requested.

She had lots of spit up on her dress. Oops!!!

The baptism was an hour!!  It was very special and was able to get everyone involved. Love the baptisms not during Mass.

3 Days till I go back to work...

Sarah didn't even make it for the start of the Clemson game. However, she woke up for the awful second quarter.  Not a good luck charm in her diaper tonight(which I changed to help our luck - did nothing!)

Craft projects for the day!  However, I need to start cleaning for the people coming over so I think the final touches on the doves will be the last project (and so I can play with my baby as much as possible before I go back to work -- been doing this while she sleeps - but lots else to do also!)

Yarn Wreath

This project is super EASY!  I had a 40% off coupon at Michael's so of course I bought something extra over the coupon and it was this. They always get me!!  Wreath $5.99 and yarn special of $1.99 for a whole thing.  The other colors on special were not as good so I got a pretty color that isn't so seasonal.

Currently a work in progress. I need to add the embellishments to it. I think the red felt flowers will be the extra pizzaz (and in honor of the next holiday - Valentines Day!). I am excited that I get to break out the new glue gun!  I got the idea from www.littlebirdiesecrets.blogspot.com. I am not doing the felt flowers they mentioned because felt is expensive so not making those flowers until a really good sale at the craft store.  I wonder where I can find it cheaper?!?!

Shopping

Today we went to Walmart and Sarah made it for a whole 2 hours.  I hope that doesn't mean she is a shopper.  And we used the stroller. This is the second time!

She is eating 6 oz every 3 hours. Lots of food and she is definitely gaining weight rapidly this week.

She grabbed at the zipper on my fleece today and held on. Very impressive!
