Unstoppable

Sarah turned 8 months this week and it has been a total game changer.

1. She crawls from room to room.  (I put her in a romper on Friday at daycare and her knees were all red. Mental note from 6 to 12 months put baby in pants all the time!)
2. Claps
3. Bounces in her exersaucer
4. Opens every drawer she cans (babyproofing this weekend!)
5. Is already trying to pull up. She more sits on her legs folded now and bounces up and down on that.
6. Does not like to be left alone or at daycare by mom aka separation anxiety.
7. Is getting more hair!
8.  Likes bathtub toys
9. I think would be happy with solids all day
10.  Likes to play with the dog.
11. Wants to eat her diaper rash cream

Here is some pictures of her following the dog today to hang out by the front door.

Sometimes she crawls with just her feet.  Kind of odd but makes sense...

She would crawl, pause, smile at me, then go back to the door.

Shiner did great even though Sarah was taking her sacred spot!

So fast....

So this week Sarah made a half crawl with two steps but using only one leg. Very interesting but I am pretty sure this week she will master it completely.

She also can pull herself up to a sitting position when playing or "sleeping".  See below

It Is NOT Bedtime!

She is no longer content just to sit at church anymore. She is a bundle of energy.  We had a wail on our hands today when she banged her phone on her head.

She can open and shut drawers. Eeks!  I guess it is time to babyproof!

I love her cuddling with me the best. At least that hasn't changed!

Another big weekend!

Sarah had another busy weekend.  We drove to go see her Aunt's graduation.  Sarah did pretty well.  She played with the family before then got all dressed up for the big event.  She made it to a bit before her aunt walking (she was near the end).

Shaking Mr. President's hand!
Sarah napping while her aunt was walking.  Do all babies have such long eyelashes. Me so jealous!

We got back from the trip on Saturday morning. Daddy and Sarah played for a little bit before we had to head to Sarah's cousins birthday party.

The hat doesn't last too long. Usually gets flung off.
Sarah playing in her cousins new birthday present.  She liked the phone the best.

Sarah hamming it up!

Happy Mother's Day!

Sarah's teacher helped her make me a card for Mother's Day.  Her handprint is a bit faint but I am sure it wasn't easy doing it for 5 kids so thank you!!  Still waiting on my present from Daddy... I am going to work in a few minutes so maybe he will be able to pull something out while I am gone.......

P.S. I think we have turned the milestone at church.  She now wants to move, talk and do lots of stuff at church.  No more calmly sitting on the lap.

First Mother's Day card!
She is growing up so fast!

First Flight!

I went home this weekend for a friend's shower and lucky Sarah got to come along!  A part of the trip we went to Sarah's grandparents as I got a cheaper flight by getting one near their house and wasn't sure if she might get sick, etc.

Grandma got Sarah a pool to play in when she visits so of course we had to try it before it got dark!

We thought Sarah could make it from the house to the pool without peeing. guess not!!!

Quite the trooper! The water was pretty cold

Duckies!!!!
I was so stressed about the flights but 3 of the 4 flights(connections) were great!  I ended up having a seat next to me empty on 3 flights.  On the 3rd flight I was the only one on the plane that lucked out and the gate agent didn't even do it that way.  I asked and she said it was full, but when I was going down the jetbridge she caught me and told me my seatmate never checked in. Sweet!!
On my first flight the guy next to me in the aisle told me not to stress and that no one was bothered. It was very nice since it was our first flight and helped ease my stress. For the most part, everyone wanted to help me get out of the plane and wanted to make sure I was okay with the baby.   And a special shout out to Delta as all their workers were super nice to us.  (The last flight no one (customers) was helpful and people were cutting me off to get out of the plane - so rude!)
Sarah got her first set of wings from the flight attendant for her baby book.  We got lots of comments on how big her eyes were, how she is a gerber baby and how happy she was so overall pretty good!
What I learned from my first flight with Sarah
1. She does the best first thing in the morning
2. Scoring an extra seat is awesome.
3. I didn't need the stroller and would have been way more work especially with connecting
4. My carseat check bag stinks!  Need to contact Amazon!
5. Most people are so nice, but some stink!
6. Ignore the stares when you get on the plane of people hoping you won't sit next to them.
7. Get on the plane last not first!
8. Sarah loves meeting new people.
9. Sitting on the floor at the gates worked pretty well so she could stretch.
10. One set of extra clothes is not enough.
11. Changing a baby in those bathrooms is awful. (No changing spot other than the lid of the toilet so I took her back and did it in the extra seat on one of the flights.)
She didn't know how good she had it!

When we got in we went to my grandmothers house as it is closer from the airport. We all had lunch, played and Sarah and I napped (7am flights whew!)

Couch playtime!

Hi Uncle Dale!

The fam!

On Saturday it was my friend's pre-big day so we went to her shower in the afternoon. Sarah got to come too!  She was very good with Gamma watching her.  She even kept her headband on the whole time!  This was also her first time in a high chair.  I think she disagreed with how her legs should be placed.  See below!

I love showers!!!

She couldn't make the whole thing.  Fell asleep at the present unwrapping time!
Back home after all of her flights on Sunday!
